University Admission Made Easy! No JAMB, No IJMB, No JUPEB, No Entrance Exam: Fill the Application Form Below
Please Read Through This Page Before Filling The Application Form. As you might have known, getting University Admission through JAMB/UTME, IJMB, and JUPEB is no longer as easy as it used to be. It has now become competitive due to the high number of candidates seeking for admission through JAMB/UTME, IJMB, and JUPEB every year. Consider the facts below and see why getting admission through JAMB/UTME, IJMB and JUPEB is difficult.
According to National Universities Commission (NUC), the admission capacity of all universities in Nigeria is approximately 400,000. Going by the new policy of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), 90% of this capacity shall be filled through JAMB/UTME while only 10% shall be filled by Direct Entry (that is, IJMB, JUPEB, NCE, OND, HND, Cambridge A’ level, Advanced Level GCE, and Professional Certifications). In other words, the admission quota for JAMB/UTME is 360,000 while the admission quota of Direct Entry is 40,000. Out of the 40,000 for Direct Entry, the admission quota for IJMB is 15,000, the one for JUPEB is 10,000, the one for NCE/OND/HND is 10,000 while the quota for Cambridge A Level, Advanced level GCE, and Professional Certifications is 5,000. However, if the 10% for Direct Entry is not utilized, it may be added to the JAMB/UTME quota. Consequently if any one of these modes of direct entry (that is, IJMB, JUPEB, NCE/OND/HND, Cambridge A’ Level/Advanced Level GCE/Professional Certifications) fail to fill their quota it will be added to the JAMB/UTME quota.
Now that you have known the admission quota, let us now check out the number of applicants for each of them. Reports from the National Universities Commission (NUC) revealed that 1.5 million candidates write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) every year. This means that out of the 1.5 million candidates, only 360,000 candidates shall be admitted while over 1.1 million candidates will not be admitted. Have you now seen why many candidates have been writing JAMB/UTME every year without any hope of admission? According to information on the official website of IJMB, 20,000 applicants put in for the programme annually. Going by their admission quota, it means only 15,000 candidates will get admission while 5,000 candidates will not. With level of aggressive marketing that IJMB has adopted, more candidates will be applying for the programme. What this means, of course, is that more candidates writing the exam will not get admission because of the restriction on their quota. It is estimated that over 120,000 candidates seek for Direct Entry admission with NCE/OND/HND annually. This implies that only 10,000 candidates will be admitted while over 110,000 will not be admitted. Surprisingly, only 2,000 candidates seek for Direct Entry admission through Cambridge A’ Level/Advanced Level GCE/Professional Certifications annually. What this implies is that the 2,000 candidates always get admitted while the remaining 3,000 quota is always added to JAMB/UTME quota.
From the analysis above, the Direct Entry admission quota of 5,000 candidates assigned to Cambridge A’ Level/Advanced Level GCE/Professional Certifications is not being utilized because the number of applicants are only 2,000. This is why it is almost impossible to see any one with these results that is not in school. The low number of applicants for this categroy of Direct Entry could be attributed to the ignorance of university aspirants. Some of the aspirants are not well-informed and ignorant of the quota system in admission and other educational policies of educational regulatory bodies. Now, you can see that University Admission is easy! NO JAMB/UTME, NO IJMB, NO JUPEB, NO Entrance Exam.
